Cyprus is a small
country with a long history and a rich culture. It is not surprising that
UNESCO included the Pafos antiquities,
Choirokoitia and ten of the Byzantine period churches of Troodos in its list of
World Heritage Sites.
The Mediterranean climate of Cyprus is one of its benefits where you
can have a balance day/night light. A
warm day full of acivities and a cool night full of night life. Enjoying
your coffee or a drink even before sunrise by the sea or till late at night at
the open cafeterias or enjoying your dinner at the beautiful tavernas and
restaurants with or without live music. Summers are warm to hot, and winters are
cool but mild, with one month averaging below 59° F (15° C); sub-freezing
temperatures do not occur more than 3% of the total time.
You will be given the
warmest of welcomes in Cyprus. As you travel round the island you will find
that the spirit of hospitality is very strong.
Cypriots have a
reputation for being friendly. So don’t be surprised if they invite you
into their homes and go out of their way to treat you as one of the family.
Most Cypriots speak English and you will be instantly accepted and given a
taste of the local culture and way of life.
You will make many good friends in Cyprus.
